About Us

Quest Capital Alliance is a private equity firmed based out of Springfield, Missouri. Organized in 2000, Quest currently has three funds with two focused on equity and the third providing debt financing. Quest prides itself on a diversified portfolio and is capable of investing in most industries. Quest investments are used as a catalyst to create growth and significant return for all parties.

General Manager: Steven W. Fox

Steven W. Fox has 25 years experience in the financial services industry.  He began his career as a credit analyst for the First National Bank in Dallas, TX in 1981 and eventually served as an account officer in the National Accounts Division.    Fox joined Cherrywood Development Trust, a registered investment advisor and investment-banking firm in 1983.  The firm managed assets for individuals, corporations and pension and profit-sharing plans.  During this period, Fox worked on several private equity transactions and IPO’s.  Fox was SVP and CFO of Cherrywood when he left the firm in 1988.  While at Cherrywood he earned the NASD Series 7 license as well as the Series 63.In 1988, Fox joined Boatmen’s Bank of Southern Missouri as VP of Loan Administration. Fox was named Senior VP and Chairman of the Senior Loan Committee in 1993 and in 1996 was named Chief Credit Officer/Senior Lender for the bank.  After the acquisition of Boatmen’s by Bank of America Fox was named Market Executive for Commercial Banking in Southwest Missouri.  Fox left the employ of Bank of America in 2000 to form Quest Capital Alliance, L.L.C. serving as CEO and General Manger.  Quest is a group of private equity funds based in Springfield, MO that currently has investments in 14 companies.  Fox received his MBA in 1980 and BSBA in 1979 from the University of Missouri – Columbia.

 

John P. Stack  (Jack)

Jack Stack is the President and CEO of SRC Holdings Corporation. Stack began his work at SRC in 1979 when he and the employees bought the company and turned it into what INC. magazine has proclaimed “one of America’s most competitive small companies.” He is the author of the book The Great Game of Business and A Stake in the Outcome. His efforts have been recognized with the National Business Ethics Award and the Business Enterprise Trust Award. SRC was also selected as one of the Top 100 companies to work for in America. The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce named him “Springfieldian of the Year,” and the Springfield Business Journal gave him the “Lifetime Achievement” award for his outstanding  professional accomplishments and contributions in the business community. INC. magazine has called him the smartest strategist in America and named him one of 25 entrepreneurs selected to represent the magazines 25th anniversary. Stack was listed among the “top 10 minds in small business” in Fortune Small Business magazine. He serves on the Board of  City Bancorp, Quest Manufacturing Inc., St. John’s Health System and on the management committee of Venture Quest, Ltd., L.L.C. He is one of Drury University’s Board of Trustees and is a past president of the Springfield Business Development Corp. As Co-Chairman of a United Way Campaign, Jack designed a fund to promote entrepreneurial activity in the non-profit community.

 

Jay Burchfield

Jay has over 30  years of experience in the financial services industry. He is currently chairman of the board of the Trust Company of the Ozarks. He also serves as CEO of Oklahoma City Bakery, inc., a Panera Bread franchise. Burchfield also serves on the Board of Directors of O’Reilly Automotive, Inc., Primary Care Network Inc., and The Beer Company, a Miller and Coors beer Distributorship. He was previously CEO of Boatmen’s National Bank of Oklahoma in Tulsa, and Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO of Boatmen’s Bank of Southwest Missouri in Springfield. He received his MBA and BSBA from Central Missouri State University.

 

Mary Kay Meek

Mary Kay is Community Relations Director for Meek’s Building Centers and President of Trymeek Corporation, the real estate division of Meek’s.  A licensed real estate broker, Mary Kay is experienced in real estate development and management.  Mary Kay is currently serving on the Boards of Commerce Bank, Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce (immediate Past Chairman), Springfield Business and Development Corp., Partnership Industrial Center Administrative Counsel and St. John’s Regional Health System.  Mary Kay is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia.

 

Steven D. Harrell

Steven D. Harrell: Steve is an attorney with the Strong Law Firm having been with the firm since 1986.  He received his law degree and undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas.  Steve also passed the CPA exam.

 

Ron Neville

Since 1996, Ron has managed a seven-figure portfolio of publicity traded securities and mutual funds.  Additionally, he manages a $1.5 million portfolio of private equities and partnerships.  Previously, he spent over 14 years as CFO of American Century Investments (formerly Twentieth Century Investment Management), one of the country’s largest mutual fund managers.  Before joining American Century, Ron was with the Kansas City office of Baird, Kurtz and Dobson for 7 ½ years.  Ron received his BA in Business and Economics form Drury University and his MBA from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

 

William Dennis Sheppard

Dennis serves as General Counsel and CFO of SRC Holdings Corp. and is also a Director, having joined the company in 1990.  He was formerly partner in the law firm of Woolsey, Fisher, Whiteaker and McDonald in Springfield.  Dennis received his JD and MBA degrees from Southern Methodist University.
